About Sparkle Sounds
My name is Chidori, and I am an established musician based in Hampton Roads, Virginia. My primary instruments are drums and percussion. With over 30 years of experience performing in bands as a professional musician, I firmly believe in the potential of drumming as a tool to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
I also have a deep love for singing bowls. Since I first heard their sounds in 2017, they have become my go-to tool for staying grounded, relaxing, focusing, and falling asleep.
Sparkle Sounds focuses not only on receptive healing—where you typically lie down and receive the experience and treatment through sound baths, reiki, guided meditation, and similar practices—but also on active healing, where participants engage in activities such as group drumming and breathing exercises. I hope to share my positive experiences through the sounds of drums, singing bowls, and other beautiful musical instruments in the form of drum circles, sound baths, and recorded music.

Our Drum Circles – Tailored for Every Occasion
Our drum circles are designed to bring people together through rhythm, energy, and connection. Each session, lasting between 40 minutes to an hour, is crafted to be fun, inclusive, and accessible for all ages and communities. (Please see my blog to learn why drumming is os good for you!)
At our drum circles, we provide a selection of drums and percussion instruments so everyone can pick one up and join in the beat—no experience needed! Whether it’s an after-school program, a neighborhood or friends' gathering, a festival, or a corporate event, we tailor the experience to suit your group size and setting.

Harmony in Collaboration
Utilizing Healing Sounds in Creative Ways
I am actively recording and looking to collaborate with other musicians, using diverse style of instruments.
